feels like home
Someone wise once said, “True love doesn't
have a happy ending, because true love never ends. Letting go is one way
of saying I love you.” Not only could I hear the voice of Irv
whispering it in my ear, but it reminded me of 'Everwood' in so very many
ways, for we've all been forced to let it go.
Away from our presence, that is, but never
away from our hearts. It's why we can still hear Irv's whispers, and
glimpse Delia's face; why some of us are constantly searching for the
Ephram and Amy we know so well but are now gone.
This website is a means to stop time; to
trap our infatuation in a bottle, and watch it ever-bloom, allowing us to
continue to believe in a tiny town in Colorado that coaxed our characters
to grow, and gave our own hearts expectant pitter-patters.
I'm not ready to let go of that magic.
If you're not either, this is where the fic is at. The best of the
best, to bring you back to that feeling of amazement that a family was
able to recover from a death in their chain, and not be buried by it, but
manage to thrive.
Television is fleeting, and only in our
stories can our characters stay for always. Let's work together to
help keep them alive.
Long live 'Everwood'. And long it will live, while we keep it
in our hearts, in our minds, and in our writing. Enjoy.
